This cape form was depressed into the lake hill-side. The owner enters to a Mud-room, his and her Offices, and a public Bathroom. Each Owner space is also treated to a private Balcony overlooking the Terrace and the Lake.
The personal spaces are down on the lower-level: Master Bedroom suite, Kitchen, Dining areas, and access to the stone Terrace or the Screen Porch, all with views to the changing qualities of the lake, summer and winter. This creates a separation of public-private spaces while focusing on the inside/outside relation at each intersection.
